Windows Servers

Servers are the lifeblood of your business.

No matter what else happens, your servers have to be up, running and functional.Your users documents and spreadsheets, your business databases, the very network functioning is based on your servers being there.

Microsoft got servers right beginning with Server 2003. And with each additional release, 2008, 2012, etc., they have gotten significantly better and more complicated.

That is why you need the experts at Jenkins Consulting, Inc. We have been working with Microsoft Servers for years. We have the experience to make sure your servers not only meet your needs but are ready for the future, whatever the future may be.

Servers perform many tasks for your business. The most important is security. You have to regulate who has access to what on your network. Not only must the server keep out those who must be blocked out, but the must control who can get into your network and what will they have access to.

The second most important task is protecting the data you need to run your business. The obvious protection is your backups. Are they local or cloud based there is a reason for each. Maybe a hybrid of the two. But data protection does not just mean backups. It also means controlling who has access. Microsoft refers to this as Authentication and Authentication.

If you have your data properly protected then you must start controlling your network. This is as simple as DNS and DHCP roles for access to the internal network and the Internet, but Network Access Protection (NAP). Making sure all your PCs are up to date is necessary for NAP so now your server has to control dispensing of updates (or patch management).

Your servers have to perform all these functions and more. You need experienced help in setting up these functions and the regular review to keep them running their best.
